GaPTA providers a conference grant to attend the annual INTIX Conference.
Applicant must be a full-time ticketing professional with a minimum of three years professional experience in the ticketing industry and one year of GaPTA membership. Previous grant recipients and organizations are ineligible to apply for five years from the time the previous grant was awarded.
The GaPTA Board of Directors uses the following judging standards in awarding grants:
40% Professional need
20% Financial need
30% GAPTA involvement
10% Relevance to GaPTA
DESCRIPTION OF AWARDS
Grants can include funding for conference registration, travel (flight), and hotel costs (does not include taxis, tips, or dining expenses). Funding for travel expenses will vary from event to event and will be reflected in the annual budget. Grants are specific to the conference that an application was submitted and cannot be deferred for use at a future event.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF RECIPIENTS
Recipients must attend the full program on the date and location specified in their application. The grant is not transferable to another individual or conference. Recipients must fill out the appropriate evaluation form in full after the meeting. Grant recipients are strongly encouraged to attend the committee meetings at the conference and are invited to join a committee. Recipients must also “report” on their experience at the first GaPTA meeting following the conference.
NOTIFICATION OF SELECTION
Applicants will receive notification of their selection after the November GaPTA conference. The GaPTA board will have final responsibility for awarding the grants.
