During our February bi-monthly meeting, member Crystal Church of Mercedez-Benz Stadium, brought up a proposed legislation within the Atlanta City Council regarding a Public Safety Surcharge. It’s sitting with the Finance/Executive Committee now and was mentioned as it was scheduled to be on the Council Agenda a couple of days before the meeting on 2/18. The attachment has the details of this proposal, but in summary, a surcharge is being proposed on tickets for events with over 1,000 available, in order to supplement public safety funding.
